Jamie + Kevin Engagement Session // ATL

Recently, another friend of mine asked me to shoot her engagement portraits and I couldn't have been more excited about it. (Engagement sessions are such a fun break from shooting non-animated buildings.) They live in a super cool loft right on the Beltline in Old Fourth Ward (for you non-Atlantans, The BeltLine is a sustainable redevelopment project that provides a network of parks, trails and transit along a historic 22-mile railroad corridor circling downtown and connecting many neighborhoods directly to each other).

They got engaged on their private rooftop overlooking the gorgeous skyline a few weeks prior so they wanted to sort of re-create the evening in order to capture their precious memories. We started at their loft so they could have a glass of wine and loosen up after a long work day. They both had never done a photoshoot, like...ever, so I needed to get them warmed up and comfortable with me sticking a big camera in their face. Luckily, they both ended up being naturals!

After leaving their loft, we walked to their local watering hole, Bantam Pub, which is where they actually went to get a celebratory drink after the engagement. From there, we took a stroll along the Beltline as the sun was setting and then finished up on their rooftop for a beautiful twilight backdrop. It was such a great night...the weather was awesome, they were fantastic, so fun and so in love and we capped it off with some sparkling rose'! Cheers to Jamie and Kevin!
